Hi! I'm Jolene, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who believes therapy should feel like one of the places where you don't have to have it all together.
Life has a way of piling things on—whether you're trying to conceive, navigating pregnancy or postpartum, juggling the mental load of everyday life, managing a co-parenting relationship, moving through a divorce, or simply feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck. My job isn't to tell you what to do; it's to help you make sense of what's going on, learn practical tools, and remind you that you don't have to carry it all alone.
I specialize in perinatal mental health and have over eight years of experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, divorce, and co-parenting stress. I have a special place in my heart for helping people through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the roller coaster that comes with becoming (or simply being) a parent.
I believe the best therapy happens when you feel like you can be yourself. We'll make space for the hard stuff, celebrate the small wins that deserve more credit than they get, and if a little humor helps lighten the load, I'm all for it. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, understood, and a little more confident than when you came in.
Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't have to have the right words or a perfectly organized story before you begin. We'll figure it out together.
I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative conversation. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you make sense of what you're experiencing, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to move forward.
My approach is warm, supportive, and direct when it needs to be. I'll meet you where you are, whether you need a space to process life's challenges, learn new coping skills, or gently challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and self-compassion, while tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals.
Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are—messy days, victories, tears, laughs, and all. Healing isn't about being perfect; it's about making progress, one step at a time.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll want to hear what brought you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you hope life might look like if things felt a little easier. Just as importantly, I want to get to know you—not just the struggles that brought you here. I love learning about what makes people who they are: your hobbies, interests, strengths, talents, the people who matter most to you, and the things that bring you joy. You're so much more than the challenges you're facing, and I believe therapy works best when we see the whole person.
