Great to meet you!

I believe caring for your mental health is an important step toward a balanced and fulfilling life, and reaching out for support takes courage. I’ve been working in mental health for 25 years, supporting individuals, couples, and families through stress, burnout, and major life transitions. My background as a university chaplain, youth pastor, and professor shapes my focus on meaning, purpose, and resilience, and I specialize in supporting caregivers and helping professionals—such as healthcare workers, therapists, educators, clergy, and first responders—build sustainable coping skills and avoid burnout.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and focuses on understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I take a holistic approach, working to understand each client’s unique worldview and life experiences, and I integrate those perspectives into treatment. Therapy is collaborative, practical, and focused on building tools that support meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. We’ll complete a thorough assessment of your needs and use a CBT framework to understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected to the concerns that brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll identify goals and begin outlining a structured, practical plan so you leave the session with clarity, direction, and realistic next steps.
