Jonathan Takang

I am licensed in Maryland. I have experience in helping clients with trauma, abuse, anger management, motivation, self esteem, confidence, & bipolar disorder. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I have worked with many incarcerated individuals and also in a community based setting. I have been looking forward to expand my horizon. I also work with clients experiencing relationship and family issues. I started working with a LGPC license, then transitioned to full my LCPC license from the state of Maryland.

I am mostly eclectic based. I use several approaches. What is most significant is that I employ the approaches listed here more often. Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy. Cultural sensitivity is important ion my approach to therapy and I do express cultural awareness when holding therapy sessions. Diversity is a prominent feature in my MO.
