Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Joni Joseph. I am a psychotherapist and I hold a licensed clinical social worker licensure from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a BA at the University of Virginia. I specialize in treating people with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and interpersonal relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

I have a passion for helping people feel better. I offer a warm, empathic, nonjudgmental approach to treating clients and start are my clients feel most comfortable. I recognize that every person is unique. Clients have often told me that they feel comfortable opening up to me as they find me down to earth and relatable. You are in charge of your therapy. In other words, if you need me to give you guidance, I can. If you need me to be sounding board, I will. If you need pyramidal support, I will provide that for you and if you need constructive problem-solving, we can work on that together.

What you can expect from me

I offer a warm environment with lots of empathy. I allow clients to come up with their individual goals. And we work together to achieve, actionable steps and outcomes.
