Great to meet you!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2016. As a part of my graduate training, over the course of one year, I completed both a practicum and internship totaling in over 700 hours of direct counseling and counseling related experience. I am licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. In total, I have 9 years of post-graduate counseling experience and am a National Certified Counselor.

My counseling experience has involved counseling children, adolescents, and adults regarding a number of issues, including: depression, anxiety, grief, stresses of life, behavioral and adjustment issues. My experience also includes counseling marital couples regarding issues such as communication and conflict resolution. The majority of my direct counseling hours have been spent counseling individual, female adults and adolescents. I currently offer individual, marital and familial counseling to individuals ages 12 and up.

Insurances accepted: Aetna, Cigna, Carelon, Quest, BCBS of NC, Oscar (Optum), BCBS of MA, United Healthcare (Optum), Oxford (Optum), and United Healthcare Medicare Advantage.

Sliding Scale available for uninsured and under-insured clients.

My approach to therapy

My theoretical approach to counseling is eclectic, including: Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, Narrative and Family Systems theories. I will try to understand you from a developmental perspective in order to gain insight into your environment and the impact others have had on you in your life, as well as to increase your awareness of your story so that you will feel confident to rewrite it as you choose.

What you can expect from me

It would be my honor to walk alongside you as you face trials, pain, change or isolation. To help you navigate through life with meaning and regain a sense of hope. To see you step into freedom from worry, unhealthy thoughts, shame, or self-doubt. Wherever you find yourself, I’d like to meet you there.
