Great to meet you!

I’m a clinical social worker, kid-teen-young adult therapist, & human in a world that can be really hard. Our children are our future, and they all- no matter their behavior or experiences- deserve to be loved and supported. I work with kids with big behaviors, low self esteem, teens with anxiety/depression/self harm/chronic illness, and young adults just trying to figure it out. I believe that behaviors are a form of communication, that we are all inherently good, and that healing through relationships and connection is our most powerful tool. I'm here to keep it real, hold you accountable, and support you in making the changes you want to make.

My approach to therapy

I work with kids, teens, young adults, families to help express their feelings, learn coping skills, and build resilience. I have experience with navigating adoption, foster care, chronic and complex illness, family dynamics, and family conflict. I also have lived experience with chronic illness- so if you're looking for someone who gets it, you're in the right place.

I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES), body-neutral lens and support young people with disordered eating. I also work with folks with chronic illnesses (POTS, gastroparesis/GI issues, autoimmune disorders, etc.) I work with young people experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges. I use a combination of narrative therapy, play interventions, relational therapy, CBT, DBT, and more. I am also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) for OCD.

My style is empathetic, warm, and direct. I believe in honesty and communicating in a way that feels safe. I practice from a lens of “what happened to you?", not "what's wrong with you?".

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story, struggles, and goals for therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you. I believe you are the expert of your own life and know yourself and what you need best- therapy is YOUR time, and I am here to support.
