Great to meet you!

I believe that there is a common thread across all therapy approaches, which is why I draw from various methods during our sessions. I was born in Brazil and my education was shaped in the U.S. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park, where I completed about 160 credits, and later graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore. I’m a licensed practitioner, authorized to provide psychotherapy in the state of Maryland. One concept that stayed with me from my studies is Dr. Daniel Siegel’s idea of the mind, body, and brain being interconnected. Over the past 10 years of practice, my approach has evolved, and I now specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS). This approach teaches that instead of having just one persona, we all have multiple parts of ourselves, none of which are “bad.” When we work together, you’ll quickly learn that every part of you deserves care and understanding.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, my focus is on helping clients explore and understand their internal parts, as defined by Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe that we all have different "parts" of ourselves, each with its own role and purpose. My approach is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where these parts can be heard and understood, ultimately fostering healing and integration. I work collaboratively with clients, helping them connect with their inner strengths and wisdom to promote personal growth and resilience. I specialize in IFS, which focuses on the idea that every part of you has a positive intention, and my goal is to help you develop a harmonious relationship with these parts. Through this process, I aim to empower you to navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness and compassion.

What you can expect from me

In sessions with me, clients can expect to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the different parts of their personality. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported as we explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we’ll work towards achieving a sense of balance, healing, and growth. I often focus on empowering clients to recognize their strengths and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. By the end of our work together, I hope you’ll feel more confident in navigating life’s challenges with a greater sense of self-awareness and compassion.
