Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Joseph Blue, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) in Delaware.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent twelve years in corporate America. I know what it’s like to carry pressure at work, at home and in your own head, often without anywhere to put it.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, and life and career transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping men learn to name and work through their emotions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and grounded. I draw from several evidence-based approaches and tailor them to what you need. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Therapy with me isn’t about having the right words or performing. It’s a space to be real, slow down, and do the work at a pace that feels right. I also have a Christian background and integrate faith and spirituality during sessions with clients that are open to it.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mainly about getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you to therapy, what’s going on in your life right now, and what you’d like to be different. We’ll also touch on your background, relationships, work and any past experience with therapy.

You don’t need to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll take it one step at a time.

By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer picture of your goals and a sense of how we’ll work toward them. It’s also your chance to see whether I’m the right fit for you. Feel free to ask me anything about my approach, how sessions work, or what to expect going forward.
