Welcome to my page. I am Joseph Levin, LCSW-C and I have been serving as a therapist with patients of all ages since 2010. With my work with adults, I specialize in dealing with depression and anxiety, atress management, and relationship difficuties, I have experience working with clients with such issues as depression, anxiety, adhd, poor social skills, anger management, Grief/loss, and the LGBTQ+ population.
As a practicing Orthodox Jew, I am very aware and culturally sensitive to religious and spiritual values and customs, and specifically those of the Jewish religion. I often utilize spiritual and religous counseling as a way to strengthen a client's self-worth and to offer them additional strength.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and dialetical behavioral therapy to help clients meet their goals. I pride myself on enabling clients to open up while keeping the therapy sessions fun and engaging. I find that this model of practice enables the clients to feel comfortable and open
I utilize a more direct therapy approach, one where you will be challenged to work on showing yourself compassion and reframing negative thoughts
I typically spend the 1st session conducting a thorough biopsychosocial and specifically asking the patient for their specific goal in treatment.
