Great to meet you!

I’m a psychologist with more than 20 years of experience helping adults understand the patterns that keep them stuck and build lives that fit their values. My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and grounded in careful attention to the person in front of me. I draw from ACT, DBT, mindfulness-based approaches, and psychodynamic thinking, with particular experience in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and intense emotions. Therapy with me is thoughtful and practical: we will make room for complexity while still working toward concrete change.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively and pay close attention to both what you say and what happens between us in the room. Depending on your needs, I may draw on ACT, DBT, mindfulness, behavioral methods, and psychodynamic understanding. We will identify recurring patterns, clarify what matters to you, and experiment with concrete changes. I am active and candid while leaving room for uncertainty, humor, and experiences that resist simple explanations.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation about what brings you in, what has and has not helped, and what you hope might change. I will ask about relevant history and your current life, with no expectation that you tell me everything at once. By the end, we should have a preliminary understanding of the central concerns, a possible direction for therapy, and some sense of whether working together feels useful. You are also welcome to ask me direct questions about how I work.
