Great to meet you!

Life is difficult at times. Its good to have someone to assist you during those times of need. Helping people work through their past and present issues is what I do. Whether its anxiety, stress, relationship issues or depression. I provide a safe space for you to understand your emotions, and work to enhance your life. Words are powerful," If you say you can, or you say you can't , you are right". Positive affirmation make a huge difference in one's thought process and attaining their goals.

My years of experience spans from working with adolescence with SA, and MH issues with the Dept of Juvenile Justice. I've worked as a school therapist in the school system. I've done psychological assessments and out patient therapy with adults with severe and persistent Mental illness. I also have experience working in the crisis unit with law enforcement.

Therapy can be a very intimidating and invasive process. Opening up to a stranger and sharing your uncomfortable issues, or hurtful moments are not easy. Relationships are one of the most important components of therapy. Being able to trust and feel safe talking to your therapist is essential. I have over 15 years in establishing rapport and relationships within a diverse community.

My approach to therapy

Making the client feel comfortable is is pinnacle in therapy. I feel that being able to develop a professional relationship is the first step to successful therapy. I utilize an eclectic style of therapy when working with people. People have very different personalities and issues. Being able to meet them where they are and incorporate various therapies to assist them has been helpful in my practice. CBT, Reality Therapy , Brief solution Focused therapy, and Person Centered Planning are some of my most used therapeutic modalities.
