I have worked in substance abuse treatment for more than twenty years. I have provided clinical treatment in a multitude environments. This includes medication-assisted treatment, medication-assisted detoxification, inpatient and residential, psychiatric hospitals, correctional institutions, and tele-health.

My approach to therapy

I address patients empathetically. This is complemented by a non-judgemental approach. I adjust my interventions to make them applicable to the needs of patients. I found using solution-focused brief therapy, with a combination of psycho-education, provides a welcoming foundation.

Patients can expect to be learn our time together will be a professional partnership. We will work with each other to accomplish goals outlined through clinical treatment planning. Patients will learn this is accomplished through how thorough I prepare for individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
