Great to meet you!

Hello! I am happy see you, and welcome to therapy! Finding a therapist and starting therapy can be a difficult process, so I am honored to be a part of that process! I have been working as a full-time therapist for over three years now, after graduating from NC State University with my MSW. I have the most experience with teens, children, and young adults, though I have experience with clients from 5 to over 60. My main specialties are Autism, ADHD, depression, and anxiety.

My approach to therapy

I take a very casual and conversational approach to therapy, in that I like to keep my sessions as an ongoing conversation between client and therapist. I then use the conversation to give you any tools that I think may be helpful. When I work with children and teens, I embrace play therapy to provide structure for interventions that can be done at home, as well! I like to pull from a variety of types of therapy, making my style of treatment very individualized to the person I am working with.

What you can expect from me

I believe that clients can generally look to see progress on their own personal goals when working with me, and as mentioned above, the goals that I set with each client are very individual to the client! I have seen success with many of my clients, going from some relatively taxing and strenuous situations to stability and growth over the course of therapy. Because I am so client-focused, the therapy takes as long as it needs to, but usually we can achieve progress by about four months in!
