Joshua Shilling

Welcome! My name is Joshua Shillng, and it is an absolute pleasure to meet you! I have a master's in social work, a bachelor's in computer information systems, several credentials related to substance use disorders and have been working in the field since 2020. I treat ages 13 and up and primarily focus on anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addictions, and men's issues - but I am trained and able to help with a variety of reasons why someone may be seeking therapy. I have a passion for this work, love getting to help people for a living, and I am grateful that you have landed on my page to start your journey.

I utilize person-centered, solution-focused, trauma informed approach to therapy - which means that the focus of treatment is YOU and us working collaboratively to address your concerns. It is important to me that we have a healthy, respectful, communicative therapeutic relationship where we can both be genuine with one another and work towards your goals.

During the first session, I like to focus on what brings you to treatment. Providing a safe space to talk, honestly, about why you are seeking therapy - is the most obvious first step. I then like to gather a lot of information about you and your life, develop a plan of action together, discuss scheduling, and answer any questions you may have.
