Josh started in the mental health field early out of high school and worked his way up to being a therapist. This provides a unique and comprehensive view of the mental health system. He received his Masters of Science in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University in the Spring of 2021. Josh recently became an LPCC in the State of Minnesota. He believes in resiliency and overcoming life’s challenges. Josh has worked in a variety of settings and positions throughout the mental health field, including residential, outpatient, day treatment, and crisis.

My approach to therapy

Josh has a direct but laid-back approach. He accepts people at where they are at and works from there to see you succeed and become the best version of you possible. Josh is person-centered and allows the client to choose what works best for them in a collaborative approach. He has numerous certifications in, Trauma, Addiction, Sand Tray, Autism, Somatic Therapy, and is in the process of getting certified in DBT and Internal Family Systems approach. Josh is able to bring Christian aspects into treatment upon client request, He is currently trained in Emmanuel Healing and Basic Sozo.

The first session is tailored to learn as much about you as possible. This allows Josh to suggest different types of treatment that may work for you, the client. Josh has a direct but laid-back approach.
