Hi, I’m Joumana! I am so glad you are here. It is a big step to seek help through therapy. I’m the founder of Self Mental Health Therapy and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I earned my Master of Social Work from Baylor University. I have been in the field of mental health for 7+ years and have worked in diverse settings supporting young adults through some of life’s most challenging moments. My specialties include anxiety, relational issues, women's health, and major life adjustments such as grief and loss.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, holistic, and person-centered. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to uncover the layers of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. As someone who comes from a middle-eastern background, I value offering culturally competent care to meet the unique needs of my clients.
Clients can expect a warm and collaborative first session. My goal is to create a space where you can explore, grow, and heal in your own way and at your own pace.
