Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Joy, and I'm so glad you're here. Taking this step to reach out for support takes courage, and I want you to know you're in a space where you'll be heard, not judged.

I work with individuals and families navigating addiction, mental health challenges, and the kind of life transitions that can leave you feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My approach blends genuine warmth with practical, evidence-based tools — I want you to leave our sessions not just feeling understood, but equipped with real strategies you can use in your daily life.

I have deep experience supporting people through substance use recovery, anxiety, depression, gambling addiction, and pornography or sex addiction. If you're dealing with any of these, here's what that means for you: we'll work together to understand the patterns underneath the behavior, not just the behavior itself, so the changes you make actually stick. I also work with clients facing overwhelming life stressors — big transitions, relationship strain, or just feeling like life has become too much to carry alone.

My approach to therapy

My style is collaborative and empathetic. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — I meet you where you are and build a plan around your specific story, your goals, and your pace. Whether you're just starting to name what's going on or you've been doing this work for a while and need a new perspective, I'm here to walk alongside you.

What you can expect from me

Beyond individual counseling, I also support clinicians in the field — offering LCAS exam preparation and clinical supervision for LCASA professionals building their careers in substance use counseling.

If you're ready to reconnect with your strengths, restore balance, and create change that lasts, I'd be honored to be part of that journey with you.
