Great to meet you!

My name is Joy Mulrath. I have been a clinician for 20 years, focusing on individuals and families struggling with vulnerabilities and circumstances that are intervening, and sometimes devastating on quality-of-life goals. I have developed a strong skills set over the years in treating Depression, Bipolar illness, Substance Use Disorders, PTSD/ CPTSD ("Parts" work), anxiety and body image struggles. I have absorbed a variety of treatment approaches from these experiences, which also included extensive hospital work in all levels of care. I now seek to use these accumulated skills to authentically connect with those who suffer from any of these issues, and desire space to heal.

My approach to therapy

I work with my clients from a strength's perspective, and based on the truth that we all have authentic talents and resilience already woven into our true Self. I seek to be helpful in offering a number of treatment approaches that will be specifically helpful to you. I often am noted as a clinician who does so in eclectic and creative ways. I specialize in women's issues, addiction, and trauma.

What you can expect from me

Clients will learn a lot about how curiosity and compassion can build a treatment effect that is very desirable. Often times, trigger work, trauma work, and the associated "parts" of us that show up when triggered are part of a very powerful and freeing therapy process as well.
