Great to meet you!

My name is Judith Eta, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care tailored to the unique needs of each client. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered on your journey toward healing and emotional well-being.

My professional background: I hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health, and I am licensed to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan. My clinical training and experience span diverse settings, including outpatient psychiatry, community mental health, crisis intervention, and integrated primary care.

Areas of specialization: I work with clients facing various mental health challenges, including:

  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Anxiety and panic disorders
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • ADHD and behavioral concerns
  • Insomnia and sleep disturbances
  • Substance use disorders
  • Life transitions, stress management, and self-esteem

My approach to therapy

As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my approach to providing care is rooted in a holistic, person-centered, and evidence-based framework. I believe in developing a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect, recognizing that each individual’s mental health journey is shaped by biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors.

I use a collaborative care model, where I work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans that align with the client’s goals, strengths, and values. My interventions may include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation, all while promoting self-efficacy and wellness. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and actively participate in their treatment. Additionally, I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure culturally competent, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care.

What you can expect from me

As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), clients can expect to take away several key benefits from sessions with me:

  1. A Safe and Supportive Space: Clients can expect a nonjudgmental, compassionate environment where they feel heard, respected, and valued. Each session is designed to foster trust and emotional safety.
  2. Personalized Insights and Coping Strategies: Through therapeutic dialogue, clients gain deeper understanding of their mental health concerns and learn practical, evidence-based coping strategies tailored to their needs—whether for managing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, or other psychiatric conditions.
  3. Collaborative Goal-Setting: We will work together to set meaningful and achievable treatment goals. Clients are active participants in their care plan, which may include psychotherapy, lifestyle interventions, and/or medication management.
  4. Education and Empowerment: Clients will receive education about their diagnosis, treatment options, and wellness strategies. The goal is to empower them with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their mental health journey.
  5. Consistent Follow-Up and Progress Monitoring: Each session builds on the last, with regular assessments to evaluate progress, adjust the treatment plan as needed, and celebrate growth.

Ultimately, clients can expect to leave each session with greater clarity, hope, and tools to enhance their emotional well-being and quality of life.
