Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years of experience helping support individuals in their therapy journey. I started out studying English Literature, migrated to journalism and finally decided I can use my curiosity and love of people's language to help people become who they want to be.

My approach to therapy

When I first studied Psychology, I studied existential phenomenology. That was a bit too cerebral for therapy, but it led me to think that everyone wants to be able to choose a purposefful life. Sometimes that means finding a place with your family, fitting in, becoming less anxious or isolated or stabilizing your moods. I utilize CBT therapy method, exposure therapy, positive listening and writing techniques to help support you on your journey of healing and self discovery.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we need to begin to find ways to trust each other. Clients need to tell me what they expect to get from coming to therapy, some beginning goals and some ways they feel comfortable working. From learning those things, I will tell them how I work and see if I am accommodating them. We are expressing our expectations for each other.
