Great to meet you!

I am a Mental Health Clinician with more than 18 years of psychiatric experience providing care to individuals across the lifespan. My professional background includes service in state hospitals, veteran healthcare systems, and pediatric settings, where I have delivered compassionate, comprehensive mental health care to diverse populations. I earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), an advanced clinical doctorate emphasizing evidence-based practice, healthcare leadership, quality improvement, and the advancement of patient outcomes across a variety of clinical environments.

My approach to therapy

My clinical philosophy is grounded in a holistic approach to treatment that recognizes the interconnectedness of mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I integrate mindfulness practices, supportive therapy, and evidence-based medication management to assist patients in achieving balance and improving overall quality of life. I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges through the development of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, goals, and experiences. I place significant value on establishing strong therapeutic relationships founded on trust, empathy, and open communication, as these elements are essential to meaningful progress and sustained wellness.

What you can expect from me

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing a broad spectrum of emotional and behavioral concerns in both acute care and outpatient settings. This experience has enhanced my ability to support patients during periods of transition, crisis, and ongoing mental health treatment. I strive to empower individuals through education, evidence-based coping strategies, and practical tools that foster resilience, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, ensuring that each individual feels respected, supported, and actively engaged in the treatment process.

I provide treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, and stress-related concerns. My objective is to create a safe and supportive environment in which individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences openly, are heard without judgment, and can work collaboratively toward healing, personal growth, and long-term well-being.
