Great to meet you!

At the beginning of my career, working with children and families in In-Home Therapy gave me insight into generational trauma and the ability of clients to heal themselves. Individual outpatient therapy, where the client has space to focus on themselves with compassionate support, drew my interest and since 2017 I've focused on providing individual therapy to adults. The perspective of a social worker informs my work as I consider at the bigger picture of society, community and family.

My approach to therapy

It can be hard to come to therapy and talk about your problems and emotions out in front of someone you've just met. A big part of my practice is being fully present and attuned, so that folks with overworked nervous systems can feel calm and safe.

Clients often find me refreshingly down to earth and relatable. Laughter and tears are equally welcome.

My therapy modalities include: Trauma informed therapy, narrative therapy, and DBT-based skills are some of the modalities I use with clients.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we will discuss current problems as well as some background to help me understand how best to help you. We will also discuss your strengths, values and interests as these are important tools for healing.
