Great to meet you!

Experiencing stress or feeling overwhelmed? Having been on the other side of the room, I realize the challenges and anxieties with initially getting started in therapy. And having experienced therapy first-hand, it intrigued me to enter into the mental health profession over 25 years ago - and I still love what I do today! I welcome having an opportunity to meet you, to understand the challenges you are having, and to learn about your hopes and dreams for your future!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I pull from various modalities with an interpersonal style since none of us fit into a box! While I do "throw balls into the air" as ideas you might utilize, it is your journey and you can decide whether to implement these ideas or we can talk about alternatives. And along the way, you (and I) learn more about you, the challenges you face, and your wishes and desires for the future. I enjoy working not only with individuals, but also helping couples to gain the closeness they desire!

What you can expect from our first session

We will work together to find ways of looking at what is working in your life and what isn't. And along the way, we will discover new ideas and concepts, and to help with the anxieties you may experience with change. And if there is something specific you would like from me, I welcome your input! It is a collaborative experience and can be a rewarding experience.
