Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I received my Master Degree in Social Work from University-Illinois at Chicago. For the past twenty years, I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, clinics, and hospitals. Through my varied experiences, I have come to realize that I am able to make the biggest impact when I value the relationship as the priority. My belief is that the connection between client and therapist is the first and most critical step on this journey. My hope is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable space for individuals and families. My approach is to help you see your strengths, meet you where you are at, and work collaboratively with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to help you see your strengths, meet you where you are at, and work collaboratively with you. I have great interest in the mind-body connection and love to use modalities including mindfulness, guided imagery and yoga.

I also love to use play games and art with children. I have experience with a wide variety of issues, including working with children, adolescents and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and past trauma.

What you can expect from me

I love to start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling safe. I know that taking the first step to get help is hard and I am glad you are here.
