Great to meet you!

Life can feel incredibly heavy when the past refuses to stay in the past. If you’re tired of "just getting by," feeling constantly on edge, or noticing that old history is intruding on your present, I want you to know something important: healing does not have to be a retraumatizing experience.

I specialize in helping adults navigate unresolved trauma through a lens of total safety, pacing, and respect. You deserve a space where you can finally let your guard down, drop the heavy armor, and reclaim your story. Whenever you’re ready to transition from surviving to truly living, I am here to walk that path with you.

My approach to therapy

Your brain has a natural, powerful ability to heal—it just needs the right environment and the right tools. Because of this, my approach is collaborative, client-led, and deeply rooted in your own autonomy.

I primarily utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). The beauty of EMDR is its efficiency and gentleness:

  • No Graphic Retelling: We can process painful memories deeply and effectively without requiring you to talk through every distressing detail.
  • Targeted Relief: We focus on unburdening the emotional weight and body tension you’ve been carrying.
  • Empowerment: You are always in the driver’s seat. We go at your pace, building up your coping tools before we ever touch the hard stuff.

Our goal isn't just to talk about the problem; it’s to help you feel genuinely grounded, safe, and empowered in your body and mind again.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a gentle, low-pressure conversation designed to ensure we are a good fit. There is no spotlight on you, and you will never be forced to share more than you want to.

Here is what we will cover:

  1. Administrative Housekeeping: We will briefly review informed consent, privacy policies, and any questions you have about the logistics of therapy.
  2. Initial Assessment: We’ll complete a structured clinical intake to gather some history and get a clear picture of where you are right now.
  3. Your Goals: A comfortable discussion about what you hope to achieve and get out of our time together.
  4. Demystifying EMDR: A clear, easy-to-understand breakdown of how the process works and what to expect moving forward.

You can expect me to show up as a steady, transparent, and warm partner in your healing. My absolute priority is your sense of safety—we will check the administrative boxes first to lay a solid foundation, and we won't begin any deep trauma processing until you feel 100% prepared and ready.
