Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Justin and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a Master's degree from Appalachian State University. I have been working in the therapy field for 19 years and have been a fully licensed professional for 9 years. I am dedicated to providing quality and affirming care to my clients in an atmosphere that is welcoming. It is important for me to have a trusting and collaborative relationship with my clients so that the process of therapy feels supportive and non-judgmental.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy in a relationship based way. I want you to feel seen and understood from your perspective so that we can get clear about what it is that you want and need from therapy. You are the expert of your life and I am here to offer helpful perspectives and tools to help you build on your strengths and find creative and workable solutions to your problems. I employ various approaches that help support you as a whole person. I work with individuals, couples, and families.

What you can expect from me

I want my clients to walk away from sessions feeling empowered and equipped to start making small and sustainable changes in their everyday life. I believe the role of therapy is to help us learn to lean into discomfort with greater resilience and flexibility in problem solving.
