Great to meet you!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with approximately three years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner and over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan and with a wide range of mental health diagnoses and challenges. What I love most about my work is being able to connect with people, listen to their stories, and walk alongside them as they work toward healing, growth, and a better quality of life. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, respected, and supported without judgment. I approach each patient with compassion, empathy, and an open heart, taking the time to understand their individual experiences, strengths, and goals. Mental health care is more than simply treating a diagnosis—it is about caring for the whole person and building a relationship where patients feel safe enough to be themselves. I feel truly grateful to do work that I enjoy and that allows me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is centered around compassion, understanding, and truly getting to know the person behind the diagnosis. I believe that every patient has a unique story, and I take the time to listen, understand their experiences, and learn what matters most to them. I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and able to be their authentic selves. I believe mental health treatment should be a partnership, so I work collaboratively with my patients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their needs, goals, values, and strengths. While I use evidence-based practices to provide quality psychiatric care, I also recognize the importance of human connection, empathy, and trust. My goal is not only to help manage symptoms, but to help my patients feel empowered, develop healthier coping strategies, improve their quality of life, and know that they do not have to navigate their mental health journey alone.

What you can expect from me

During your first session with me, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My goal is to get to know you as a person not just as a diagnosis and to understand your experiences, concerns, strengths, and what brought you to treatment. I will take the time to listen to your story, answer your questions, and learn about the challenges you are currently facing, as well as what you hope to accomplish through treatment. Together, we will identify your goals and begin developing an individualized plan of care that feels realistic and meaningful to you. I believe mental health treatment should be a partnership, so your voice, preferences, and experiences are an important part of the process. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel heard, respected, understood, and supported, with a clearer understanding of your mental health and the next steps we can take together. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling that you have found someone who genuinely cares about your well-being and is committed to walking alongside you throughout your journey.
