My work is rooted in helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, while building a deeper sense of clarity and self-trust. I work with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. Using approaches like DBT, CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing, I offer a supportive, grounded and practical space where clients can explore challenges and build real, sustainable change.
Making the decision to start therapy can feel intimidating. You might be wondering, 'do I really need this?' or 'how do I find the right therapist?' To help alleviate some of these worries and the awkwardness of bearing your soul to a stranger, I've built my practice around genuineness, humor (with a flare for sarcasm,) and warmth. I really enjoy just being human with my clients.
During our first session, you'll probably do most of the talking, honestly! I want to know about you--who you are, what your family is like, how things have been going and what has gotten you to this point now. We'll review some 'housekeeping' items, like policies, privacy, etc, I'll ask you a lot of questions, and together we'll start to come up with a game plan for our work together.
