Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Kara Pederson, LICSW. I am a licensed therapist providing online psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults. I specialize in working with clients struggling with ADHD, trauma related disorders, and anxiety/depression and recently completed my ADHD Specialist Certification.

A bit about my approach to therapy

In our sessions, we will work together to explore your concerns, identify patterns and obstacles, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward. Various approaches I typically utilize include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and trauma informed practices. I strive to provide additional resources and content to clients for further practice of skills outside of session time.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that therapy is a powerful tool for healing and personal growth, and I hope to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world and work towards your goals.

My hope is for clients to leave each session with an understanding of how to apply symptom and emotion management skills to work on in-between sessions.
