Great to meet you!

My name is Kara Savage, MA, LPC and I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in helping adults who feel overwhelmed by relational pain, emotional exhaustion, and the weight of past experiences that still shape their present lives.

I work with individuals who have felt unseen, dismissed, or mistreated — people navigating relationship wounds, betrayal, anxiety, trauma, or the lingering effects of growing up in difficult family systems. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel lost, stuck, or tired on the inside.

My approach to therapy

I help by creating a deeply compassionate space where you can safely look inward, uncover unhealthy roots, and begin rebuilding a stronger, healthier foundation for your life. My approach blends insight-oriented therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment work, and cognitive reframing. I help you restore what was broken and transform suffering into purpose.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, you can expect clarity, grounding, and support as we explore your story, identify what’s keeping you stuck, and map out a healing path that fits your needs. We’ll go at your pace — gently, honestly, and with respect for the courage it takes to begin this work.

My practice is unique because I focus on what lies beneath the surface — the roots of pain, patterns, and beliefs that silently shape your relationships and self-worth. I help clients experience deep, restorative change, not just short-term coping. I also support clients who want to integrate their Christian faith into therapy, weaving spiritual insight with emotional healing when desired.

I am passionate about this work because I have witnessed how powerful and life-changing it is when someone finds the courage to face their pain and reclaim their life. Healing doesn’t stop with the individual — it ripples outward, shaping relationships, families, and future generations. It’s an honor to walk alongside people as they restore hope, strength, and purpose in their stories.
