Great to meet you!

I am a licensed social worker of 12 years, and I specialize in depression, anxiety, workplace stress, life transitions, anticipatory grief, and pet loss. Grieving the loss of a companion animal is a difficult and complicated journey. I have my own pet loss stories, and I am here to assure you that this grief is real. Not only is it real, but it becomes even harder when you're already struggling with your mental health. This is where therapy can really make a difference. Additionally, I enjoy helping veterinary professionals work through issues like burnout and compassion fatigue. My experiences working at a veterinary emergency hospital and a general practice help me to better understand the emotional challenges and stressors that accompany a career in veterinary medicine. Lastly, I have experience in helping college students and young adults navigate life transitions, identity exploration, and career questioning.

My approach to therapy

My style is relaxed, welcoming, and caring. Therapy is different for everyone, and we will work together to make it a helpful experience for you. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, solution-oriented, collaborative, and creative. My hope is to be a trusted source of support for you, providing a space to process through life and workplace stressors, move through grief and pet loss, and help find balance in your life again.

What you can expect from me

I like to help people feel comfortable and heard from the beginning. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other, while also talking about the things that brought you here and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. I want to create a trusted place where you feel respected and helped. My sessions are provided through telehealth only, available across Maryland.
