Great to meet you!

I’m Karelle Edwards-Perry, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Mental Performance Consultant®. As a five-time Team Canada 100-meter hurdler, I know firsthand how mental wellness can drive, disrupt, or define both performance and overall well-being.

My path to this work was shaped by years of injuries, navigating harmful power dynamics and abuse in sport, and the pervasive “toughen up” culture that often silences athletes’ mental health needs. My goal is to normalize caring for our mental health—not as an afterthought, but as an important part of growth, healing, and ultimately, performance.

My work sits at the intersection of mental health, identity & performance. As a biracial Black woman, a lot of my work also centers around supporting multiracial individuals in exploring their evolving identities and understanding how those identities influence the way they show up in both performance spaces and everyday life.

My approach to therapy

Clinically, I use a trauma-informed and integrative approach, with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also believe the past is alive in the present, which is why I help clients uncover and address deeper barriers to performance and well-being.

What you can expect from me

My sessions are built around honoring your story, your full identity, and your pace. I create space to explore what’s getting in the way, work through what’s unresolved, and move forward with more clarity and self-trust. I’m here to support real, lasting growth rooted in your truth and your timeline—because when you’re aligned, success flows. Inner work can be heavy, and my style balances depth with room for lightness, and reflection with realness.
