Great to meet you!

  • I have empathy and understand for my client's. Sharing my clients' feelings is foundational to building a strong therapeutic alliance, which is essential in helping them feel heard and validated, fostering trust and openness needed for goal setting and exploration.
  • I am honest being genuine and truthful with my client's builds trust and credibility. This is vital for the psychodynamic exploration of defenses and for the humanistic emphasis on authenticity. It also allows for direct and constructive feedback within a CBT framework when addressing unhelpful patterns.
  • I am dedicated and commitment to my clients' well-being which drives me to actively work with them towards their goals, utilizing the most effective techniques from my integrative toolkit. This dedication shows clients I am invested in their progress.
  • I use creativity which allows me to tailor interventions to the unique needs and goals of each client, drawing flexibly from different theoretical orientations. I can think outside the box to find innovative ways to help clients overcome obstacles and achieve their desired outcomes.
  • I emulate trustworthiness to my clients so they feel safe and secure and are willing to be vulnerable and engage in the therapeutic process, especially when exploring sensitive issues in psychodynamic work or challenging ingrained beliefs in CBT. My trustworthiness will encourage them to open up and work collaboratively with me on their goals.
  • My openness to learning in my field of therapy is constantly evolving. My willingness to learn new techniques and perspectives will enhance my ability to effectively help my clients reach their goals and refine my integrative approach over time.

My approach to therapy

I have a goal-oriented approach that I find is a highly effective and practical approach. Clients often come to therapy with specific changes they want to see in their lives. Focusing on goals provides direction, motivation, and a framework for measuring progress.

  • I use an integrated approach that incorporates various therapeutic techniques. We can use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify and modify thoughts and behaviors related to goals, psychodynamic to lead to insights and understand underlying patterns hindering goal attainment, and humanistic principles to foster self-awareness and personal growth in the pursuit of those goals.

What you can expect from me

  • Clients often come to therapy with specific changes they want to see in their lives. So I expect them to to be proud of their progress towards their goals, motivation, and the framework we came up with for measuring progress.
  • I hope the client's will use these therapeutic techniques. They can use CBT to identify and modify thoughts and behaviors related to goals, psychodynamic to gain insights to understand underlying patterns hindering goal attainment, and humanistic principles to foster self-awareness and personal growth in their pursuit of those goals.
