Great to meet you!

I have over 24 years of experience in the counseling field. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Psychology and from East Carolina University with a Masters in Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation Counseling. I have worked with children through adults with both mental health and substance abuse disorders. I love to be outside and spend a lot of time on the water.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and centered on creating a space where you or your child can feel comfortable, understood, and supported. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I believe therapy looks a little different for each person. Sometimes that means helping a child express feelings in ways that make sense to them, supporting a teen as they navigate stress or other issues, or walking alongside an adult through life transitions, relationships, anxiety, grief, or personal growth. I see therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, compassion, and genuine connection. Together, we will move at a pace that feels right, make sense of what you are experiencing, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful change in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I plan to complete an assessment and gather information to build rapport and establish a diagnosis as well as determine what you goals you would like to work on. If you need a time other than what is available on my calendar please reach out to me and I will see how I can accommodate you
