Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Psychotherapist operating in private practice. I accept insurance for medical necessities. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's (MAMFT), and a Doctorate (DMFT) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. The DMFT designation is a clinical and professional doctorate specifically designed for Marriage and Family Therapists. It emphasizes competencies in clinical practice, supervision, and leadership within the field.

My specialization is in couple's therapy with a focus on relationship repair to reduce communication barriers, resolve conflicts, and address intimacy issues. I provide therapeutic services to diverse populations, including couples, families, individuals, and groups. Due to my private practice schedule, please reserve appointments only starting at the top of the hour.

For couples seeking relationship repair (pre-marital, marriage counseling, The Gottman Method), please book appointments directly on my practice website (https://centerfamilyandmarriagetherapy.com/contact-us) or send me an email to schedule: [email protected].

My therapeutic focus is on fostering healing, empowerment, and self-awareness by addressing inherent strengths and mental health challenges through solution-focused techniques. As your therapist, I provide unbiased support for your personal growth and healing.

I work with clients who may be struggling with family conflict, partnership phase-of-life issues, and individuals seeking to meet their goals through strength-based methods to build confidence and empower families and partners to move relationships to the next level. During our initial sessions, we will explore the presenting issues and then collaborate to create a strength-based goals plan.

I am committed to assisting you and your family in achieving your personal and relational objectives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is listening, supportive, and goal-oriented, promoting openness, inclusivity, and respect for the client's autonomy. Therapy modalities I primarily use are Solution-Focused, Gestalt, and Narrative Therapy as the foundation for my therapeutic approach. Treatment goals are developed with the client to ensure their needs are met in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.

Clients are the authors of their own lives. The therapeutic relationship is strongly tied to the client's narrative. As a therapist, my role is to listen and highlight the client's strengths to problem-solve, develop personal goals, and empower their agency of self.

What you can expect from me

During our initial sessions, we will explore the presenting issues and then collaborate to create a strength-based goals plan.

We also offer sliding-scale rates ($50-$60) for services provided by our Student MFTs under my supervision. Please contact me at [email protected] for more information about couples counseling or to inquire about appointments.
