Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Kari, a therapist who works with adults (18+) navigating life's challenges, transitions and relationships. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming or we find ourselves stuck in patterns that are difficult to understand or change. You might be struggling with anxiety, stress, self-doubt or questions about identity and relationships. Maybe you spend a lot of time showing up for others but find it harder to show up for yourself. Whatever brings you to therapy, you deserve a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported in finding your own path forward.

My approach to therapy

As a queer therapist, I understand on a personal level how important it is to feel seen, accepted and free to be yourself. Our identities and experiences shape how we move through the world, but I also know that each of us has our own story. I'm here to listen with curiosity, care and an open mind, so we can explore your experiences without assumptions or judgment.

I work from an anti-oppressive, intersectional and trauma-informed framework, with an inclusive, down-to-earth and nonjudgmental approach. I am queer and trans affirming and strive to create a space where you can show up as you are and explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences openly. Together, we can make sense of what you're going through, explore patterns that may no longer be serving you and work toward changes that feel meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, find relief from distress and build resilience, self-acceptance and a sense of belonging. Therapy can be a place to explore difficult emotions, navigate life changes, improve relationships and reconnect with what matters most to you.

You deserve joy, fulfillment and the freedom to be your authentic self. I believe you are the expert in your own life and I'll bring curiosity, care and collaboration to our work together. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. We can start wherever you are and work toward a life that feels more connected, fulfilling and true to who you are.

Feel free to message me with any questions, including if you're having trouble finding a time that works for your free 15-minute consultation. We can likely find a time in the next few days that works for both of us!
