Great to meet you!

Howdy, my name is Karren Miles. I'm originally from Texas and moved to Maine in 2020. I received my license to practice in Maine in December of 2020. Prior to that I completed my master's in counseling, my internship, and was licensed in Texas. Before I became a therapist, I was a teacher, where I taught early childhood through 4th grade. My passion is working with individuals that need that little bit of extra help, whether it is listening or learning different skills and strategies to navigate through lives problem. Everyone needs to be heard and understood without judgment.

My approach to therapy

I treat my clients with the utmost respect and without judgement. I am as transparent as possible. I try to make my client feel comfortable and safe by using the Client Centered approach.

What you can expect from me

1st sessions are normally "getting to know you" sessions. It is important to the client/therapist relationship to build that rapport and trust each other.
