Dr. Karthi Namasivayam

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed in TN and MI and I offer a wide range of services including therapy and treatment for Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Anxiety disorders, PTSD and ADHD. I graduated from University of Pennsylvania and am a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and have 26 years of experience. I have worked in Inpatient and outpatient services having served patients in CMHC, and I am currently in Outpatient Private Practice.

Everyone has a unique story and I like to listen to my patients with keen interest , empathy and understanding and will explain in detail my approach to treatment and decisions will be made with mutual respect and your consent. It’s important to me that we communicate openly, and you feel respected in our relationship. Together we will find the best course of action for your wellbeing.

The first session will be a detailed history including but not limited to listening to your story, your past history, your family history as well as past treatments and experiences. I can explain how we diagnose mental health conditions and all the available treatment options. You will be able to make an informed decision every step of the way. I want you to be able to express any concerns, ask questions about treatment and the benefits of the treatment that best suits your circumstance.
