Great to meet you!

"I am a Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) and the founder of Mindful Path Therapy, LLC, holding a Master of Science in Social Work with a concentration in interpersonal evidenced based practice from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As a deeply specialized clinician, I hold advanced credentials as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II: Complex Trauma (CCTP-II) and a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS). For over a decade, my practice has focused on supporting adults through profound loss, complex past trauma, chronic pain, and significant life transitions.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and proudly LGBTQ+ affirming. I intentionally weave your unique cultural, religious, spiritual, and personal values into our work to build a holistic plan for your care. To ground the healing process, I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities alongside somatic tools, including the comforting, virtual presence of my 9 lb companion Maltipoo, Lemon, or strategies to help you integrate your own household pets into our virtual sessions for deeper regulation. Ultimately, I strive to create a warm, gentle environment where you can safely open up authentically, express your needs, and heal at your own pace."

My approach to therapy

"My practice is deeply trauma-informed and collaborative, blending advanced evidence-based modalities with an unwavering commitment to trauma-informed person-centered care. Together, we work to honor and hold with care the parts of you that need to feel safe, heard, and understood. By combining specialized grief counseling and deep trauma work, I help you reflect, communicate more effectively, and move forward with greater confidence. I intentionally balance science and creativity to ensure every session is tailored to your unique history and timeline.

Grounded in warmth, compassion, and genuine understanding, my approach honors you as the ultimate expert of your own life. I am here to meet you exactly where you are, helping you foster self-compassion and resilience. Whether we are processing profound loss, navigating complex trauma, or incorporating the grounding, comforting companion presence of Lemon on screen, my focus is always on your empowerment. I am dedicated to helping you move from a state of simply surviving life's stressors to a place of true integration, clarity, and wholeness."

What you can expect from me

Your first session is entirely about creating a sense of safety, building a genuine connection, and letting you set the tempo. We will briefly touch on the logistics—like what to expect from telehealth, confidentiality, and your scheduling needs—before turning the focus completely to you. Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy today, look at your current challenges, and discuss how we can collaboratively walk this path forward.

There is absolutely no pressure to unpack your entire story or dive into deep trauma on day one; it is always your choice to share only what feels comfortable. Instead, our first hour will focus on understanding your immediate needs, mapping out your goals for healing, and establishing a warm, inclusive, and deeply non-judgmental foundation for our work together.
