Great to meet you!

I'm Kate, a trauma-informed therapist licensed in Idaho and Washington who works exclusively with women 18 and older. My specialty is helping you understand the patterns that keep showing up — in your relationships, your reactions, your sense of self — and where they actually came from. I work with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, postpartum changes, grief, and life transitions. Whether you've been in therapy before or this is your first time, my style is warm, body-inclusive, and genuinely curious about who you are — not just the problem you came in with.

My approach to therapy

I use a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) when working with clients— two approaches that go deeper than just talking about what's wrong. IFS helps you understand the different "parts" of yourself that developed to cope with hard experiences. Rather than fighting those parts, we get to know them. Somatic Experiencing pays attention to how experiences are held in the body, because healing happens there too. Together, these are especially powerful for trauma, anxiety, relationship patterns, and postpartum recovery. We move at your pace. We build tools that you can use outside of your session and that last. Most importantly, this is a space where you are deeply seen.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly a conversation — I want to understand what brought you here, what's been showing up for you, and what you're hoping might feel different. It doesn't feel like a form. There's no pressure to have everything sorted out or to share more than feels comfortable. By the end of our time together, you'll have a real sense of how I work and whether this feels right. Most clients leave the first session feeling seen in a way they didn't quite expect. That's what I'm going for.
