Great to meet you!

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC) and have spent the past eight years providing behavioral health services within correctional healthcare settings. This experience has given me extensive knowledge in working with individuals facing complex mental health challenges, life stressors, trauma, anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. Prior to my work in correctional care, I had the privilege of working with active duty military personnel, supporting service members as they navigated the unique demands of military life, operational stress, and personal challenges. These diverse professional experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and tailor treatment approaches to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach combines evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a client-centered philosophy that recognizes each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I believe that effective therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor my communication style and therapeutic approach to meet your individual needs, preferences, and current circumstances, ensuring that our work together feels relevant, practical, and meaningful.

I am committed to helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build resilience while fostering self-awareness and personal growth. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore challenges, gain clarity, and create lasting positive change.

What you can expect from me

We'll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. I will ask questions about your background, relationships, personal history, and emotional well-being to gain a better understanding of your experiences and strengths.

The first session is also an opportunity for us to begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, collaboration, and respect. I take a client-centered approach and adapt my communication style to meet your individual needs, preferences, and comfort level. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, stress, or a major life transition, we'll work together to identify goals and develop a plan that feels meaningful and achievable for you.
