Great to meet you!

Please call me Kat. I am a National Board Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor with active licenses in the states of Alabama, North Carolina (LCMHC), and Texas.

I am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and a Certified Integrative Couples Therapist. I am certified through AANE to work with neurodivergent couples and currently obtaining certification as a Sex Therapist through AASECT. I have extensive experience in developmental trauma and utilize trauma modalities such as EMDR and Brainspotting. While shifting negative experiences is the target, we often need to begin with the building of a strengths-based sense of Self in order to deconstruct trauma identities.

I practice with a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, gender-equitable, and racially just environment that is inclusive of all identities and immigration statuses. I believe that our differences/uniqueness is our strength. I practice with a strong neurological lens, believing that our neurology is foundational in how we experience our environment and ourselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on restoring the Self through an intersectional lens, honoring how diverse identities shape each person’s experience. I create a space of respect and nonjudgment where empowerment grows through self-awareness, integration, and exploration toward authenticity and balance.

What you can expect from me

The therapy room is our laboratory. It is a place where we explore possibilities, deconstruct illusions, and release what we no longer want to carry with us. Each session is an opportunity for you to experience expansion, with the goal of ultimately living outside of the therapy room in that lovely state.
