Great to meet you!

I am a clinical social work therapist, licensed in Georgia and Michigan. I also am an ACSW from the National Association of Social Workers. I have a PsyD in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, specializing in Grief and Loss. I draw from 40+ years of personal experiences, career experiences, and education to assist others with their life journey. I have parented biological, step, and foster children. I have extensive experience with child abuse and neglect, and with hospice and bereavement.

My approach to therapy

My greatest strength is my compassion for the human condition (as described by colleagues). I, too, have suffered loss. I, too, have experienced health concerns. I am deeply aware of the difficulties that life can thrust upon us. I will look to find your strengths and then to assist you to utilize those for a better and brighter future.

What you can expect from me

I will ask you to tell me what is currently occurring in your life and what has brought you to counseling. I often do assign homework, either an article or book to read or a task to complete, prior to the next session. I will challenge your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and actions. Primarily, I will listen to your experiences to build a more positive future.
