Great to meet you!

I have approximately 25 years of counseling-related work in as well as have taught counseling courses in graduate mental health programs. I have worked with children, adolescents, college students, adults at various life stages, as well as couples, families, and groups. Common concerns are grief and loss, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and adjustment issues. I completed a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision and a masters Pastoral Counseling.

My approach to therapy

I enter the counseling relationship listening deeply for the concerns clients bring to our time together. I integrate a variety of approaches to counseling depending on the concerns you bring to the counseling process. Common approaches are client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, acceptance-commitment therapies, and trauma- informed approaches.

What you can expect from me

I will work with you to set goals for our time together understanding you already have some strengths and skills to help yourself. At the end of our time together, the goal is to feel heard and understood, empowered with new insights and skills, and ready to move on with life in a new way.
