Great to meet you!

When meeting new clients, I like to offer them an opportunity to ask me questions about myself as I undoubtedly will be asking many questions to them. I feel that seeking counseling takes much bravery and many times, desperation on the part of the client. So my hat is off to you for searching these pages for someone that you can connect with and that can walk with you through the difficult times of which you are experiencing.

I grew up as an Air Force brat and a preacher's kid who traveled all over the world. I married an Army soldier and continued traveling. We started a family and began to build our lives together. We valued our children to the point that we decided that I would stay home and homeschool them. With no regrets, we continued in that mindset until our youngest was in 4th grade. At which time, I was offered a teaching position at a local private school. I accepted the position and continued on teaching for the next nine years. During that time, I completed my schooling to be licensed for counseling.

My life has been in constant motion. Change was everywhere, all the time, and always waiting for me. To live life means that we must experience change, begin to adapt, and eventually accept who we are within that change. It is not easy, to find ourselves within the new circumstances with so many questions and concerns. However, it is completely possible! Finding the right therapist that you can really connect with makes the difference.

My approach to therapy

My practice has consisted of a variety of ages, focus areas, and various methods of counseling. I believe that every client is unique and respect their experience and circumstance. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches, I help clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, trauma, and relationship challenges. I work with adults, couples, and families to build practical coping skills, improve communication, and support emotional growth.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about building connection and establishing a positive counseling relationship. So it is light and relaxing, breaking the ice into counseling. I keep things light and relaxed in my sessions and hope that hearts can be opened and minds cleared during our sessions.
