Great to meet you!

Do you find yourself caught in a cycle of anxiety, overthinking, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, or OCD symptoms that make it difficult to enjoy your life? Whether you're struggling with constant worry, panic, depression, stress, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, therapy can help you better understand what is keeping you stuck and develop practical strategies for change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience working in behavioral health and outpatient mental health settings with adolescents and adults. Although Headway lists my years of fully licensed experience, my clinical background spans more than 15 years across a variety of mental health settings. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety disorders, intrusive thoughts, panic, depression, life transitions, and LGBTQIA+ related concerns. My goal is to provide a supportive, affirming environment where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I believe that effective therapy should be both supportive and productive, creating space for self-exploration while also helping clients move toward their goals.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Reality Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to name a few. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt treatment to fit each client's needs, helping them develop practical coping strategies, process difficult experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build a life that feels more aligned with their values.

Clients often describe me as warm, affirming, and direct. I believe lasting change happens when people feel both supported and appropriately challenged.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, relevant aspects of your personal history, and what you hope to gain from treatment.

My goal during the first session is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Together, we will begin identifying your goals, discuss potential treatment approaches, and develop a plan that feels meaningful and achievable for you. Many clients leave the first session with a better understanding of their concerns and a clearer sense of direction moving forward.
