Great to meet you!

I specialize in treating Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN). and Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents (EIPs). I work with individuals 18+, couples, and parents who want to heal & prevent emotional neglect, and navigate difficult relationships with their parents/in-laws.

I help clients reconnect with themself, identify and communicate their wants/needs, and improve their relationships. I'm skills-based & strive to provide my clients with the info & actionable tools they need - but didn't get growing up - to heal, make sense of their past, and move forward with clarity, skill and confidence.

My approach to therapy

  • My therapeutic style is collaborative, validating, and direct.
  • I ask insight-building questions to help clients gain more understanding (and challenge when needed)
  • Provide psychoeducation on emotions, emotional intelligence, relationships, parenting, etc
  • Teach exercises to help clients learn and practice new skills in and outside of session
  • Suggest homework to help solidify these skills to make and sustain change

What you can expect from me

My clients often share that through working with me they:

  • Learn info + skills to actually DO something to heal and make changes in their life
  • Gain understanding & acceptance of themselves
  • Finally get to know who they are after years of masking or minimizing their real self
  • Are able to communicate and connect in relationships
  • No longer feel controlled by their emotions, triggers, and learned coping mechanisms
  • Feel more confident because they now have tools to to improve their relationships, resolve conflict, and handle difficult relationships with their parents/in-law
  • Can set and maintain boundaries that work
  • Feel more confident in their parenting
