Great to meet you!

I am Kathryn Taylor. Welcome to my practice. I am married, the mother of two grown children and the grandmother of four grandchildren. I am a Christ follower and a member of a local church. I have been a counselor in private practice for 36 years. I am a graduate of Cornerstone University and received my master's degree in counseling from Western Michigan University.

I work primarily with adults. I have extensive experience with women's issues, men's issues, relationships, depression and grief.

Again, welcome to my practice.

My approach to therapy

I believe that counseling is my calling. The relationship is and can be redemptive, transforming and a change point in the person's life. The presenting problem is not always the "real issue". Often though the process we discover unresolved issues that affect our ability to live life to the fullest. Working together we will begin the process of discovering those issues that linger and need resolution.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will talk about what has brought you to counseling and what you would like to see change in your life. Counseling is about you and not about me. I will want to ask you many questions about your life and relationships. I want to hear what you have to say. I ask clients to come to each session with pen and notebook so they can make note of what we discover.
