Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Colorado. I’m also a National Certified Counselor, and I’ve been in the counseling field for many years.

I specialize in working with adults (18+) who are navigating trauma, anxiety, eating and body image concerns, and other life challenges that can feel overwhelming to manage alone. I have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, veterans, and neurodivergent clients, as well as those who may look “high-functioning” on the outside but feel anything but on the inside. My background includes training in EMDR, CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing, which allows me to adapt to each person’s unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as a guide, offering tools and perspectives to help you feel more grounded and empowered. I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be your authentic self.

While I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR and CBT, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I tailor our sessions to your goals—whether that’s learning new coping skills, healing from past trauma, or building more self-compassion. Together, we’ll focus on making progress that feels meaningful and sustainable in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you—not just the challenges you’re facing, but also your strengths, values, and what matters most to you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any questions or concerns you may have about the process.

You can expect a welcoming, supportive environment where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Many clients tell me they feel a sense of relief after their first session, simply because they no longer have to carry everything alone. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that feels doable and tailored to your needs.

**If you need hours outside of my availability, please message me!**
