Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Kayla Franks. I’ve been a therapist for 10 years working primarily with kids and families. It has been an honor and joy over the years to sit with clients and families in difficult times needing support and direction. I specialize in trauma and have a certification in EMDR. I also work with people dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, impulse issues, psychosis, and more.

My approach to therapy

Relationship and trust are paramount to a successful therapy experience. It is so important to feel comfortable and safe in therapy in order to do deep processing work. Sometimes it is a fast process to build that trust, but often it is not. I want to provide that space to clients who are ready to explore their needs.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my main focus is getting to know the client better, building trust, and understanding reasons for coming to therapy. I typically take more of a backseat approach to let the client lead in session and process freely needs and issues.
